Since the creation of RockCorps in 2005, Stephen has worked to set up social engagement platforms on six continents around the world, including 50 volunteer-only concerts, with musical artists such as Pharrell, Lady Gaga, Maroon 5, Macklemore, and Rihanna. RockCorps creates partnership programs with brands in order to bring a triple benefit, to the individual, to society and to the company.
RockCorps does not sell tickets to its concerts, but young people do win tickets by volunteering at a community event produced by RockCorps.
In November 2012, Stephen was appointed by the British Prime Minister as the founding president of the National Citizen Service, the largest youth program in the United Kingdom with over 100,000 participants per year.
Stephen was awarded a CBE (Commander of the Order of the British Empire) for services to young people as part of the honours awarded on the occasion of Queen Elizabeth's birthday in 2019.
Stephen is a board member of the Raspberry Pi Foundation and the Young Camden Foundation. He is a lecturer on social engagement at Meiji University and Aoyama Gakuin University in Tokyo, as well as at Bayes Business School in London.
Stephen has an MBA from UCLA Anderson. He has dual British and American citizenship, is originally from Portland, Oregon, and now lives in London with his wife and daughter.

Klas Bergling is the founder of the Tim Bergling Foundation, which he created with his wife, Anki Liden, after the death of their son, Tim Bergling (Avicii), in 2018. The foundation is guided by the principle of listening to the voices of young people and works to prevent poor mental health among children and youth, as well as to provide support where it is needed. An entrepreneur by training, Klas is, and continues to be, strongly committed to addressing critical societal issues related to youth mental health and suicide prevention.
