New frontiers in the music industry: the power of transversality

A graduate of HEC and a degree in cinema and audiovisual (Sorbonne Nouvelle University - Paris 3), Nicolas Parpex has been working as an investor for fifteen years. At Bpifrance, he manages the FrenchTouch Capital division, which invests in equity from seed to LBO, and manages all of Bpifrance's actions in French Touch. He has carried out around twenty transactions mainly in ICCs and served on the governance bodies of companies such as Federation Entertainment, Brut, MédiaParticipations (Dargaud, Dupuis...), Nacon, FLCP, Playtime, Buffet Crampon, Buffet Crampon, Dubbing Brothers, Dubbing Brothers, Dubbing Brothers, Dubbing Brothers, Cap Brothers, Cap Cinéma, Galatée Films, Paule Ka, Finsbury, L'IFCIC or Kepler Financials Partners (Kepler Cheuvreux)). He is also a curator at the National Cinema Center, sits on the Pictanovo expert committee, on the steering committee of the MS/MC Media, Art and Creation at HEC, and teaches at HEC, EDHEC, EDHEC, Sciences Po and Sorbonne.
Thibaud Fouet has been Director of Shareholders since January 2019. In this capacity, he manages all corporate relationships, supervises the new tools necessary for the satisfaction of our members, as well as the development of our professional offers.
He is in charge of the Corporate Services and Reception Department, the Distribution Verification Department and the Directories Department.
After three years in the performing arts, Thibaud Fouet joined Sacem in 1992. His career within the regional network led him to occupy the positions of Regional Delegate both in mainland France and overseas. After this experience in the Corporation's regional network, he took responsibility for the Distribution Audit Department in 2006, a position that was added in 2014 as Project Director for member services.
Managing Director of Live Nation SAS, Angelo Gopee is a key and unique player in the French cultural landscape. To date, he is the only director of the music industry in France who comes from diversity. Self-taught, her passion for music, her appetite for novelty and her talent for discoveries paved her way.
A pioneer of rap concerts in the late 1980s, accompanying IAM and NTM from their first steps on stage to their legendary tours (respectively L'École du Micro d'Argent and the 93 Tour), director of the mythical Def Jam label for Polygram in the mid-90s, associate creator of the independent producer Nous Productions in 2004, he is now the head of the French office of Live Nation, the largest entertainment company in the world, after having: served in the Export Office, where he was the Vice President, and on the Board of Directors of PRODUCTS.
An insatiable visionary, he prefers to have an idea in advance than to contemplate his successes, and it is with the same conviction that he accompanied Luc Barruet on his crazy adventure at the end of the 90s to launch Soholidays, or that he supported in the shadows, from his first year, from the shadows, from his first year, the French edition of the Afropunk festival, which fights against all forms of discrimination.

Coming from a popular background, he knows how difficult the road is without a network or support, which is why he is launching Campus M with HEC, offering students from diverse backgrounds or from disadvantaged neighborhoods study grants that will allow them to obtain a specialized Master's degree at Bac+6 level in music management, recognized by the State. Always focusing on the general interest over his personal ambition, he explains: “Transmission is fundamental to the future of our business, and it is time for cultural representatives to reflect the richness of our society.”
Lawyer for omission at the Paris Bar After 15 years at Canal Plus in charge of partnerships with film distributors and film festivals, joined the Palais Omnisports de Paris, Bercy as Communication and Marketing Director, now Director of External Relations for the Paris Entertainment Company group (Accor Arena Bataclan Adidas Arena).
