PRIVACY POLICY

If we make substantial changes to our privacy practices, we will let you know. If necessary, we will also ask for your consent for such changes.

PRIVACY STATEMENT

We have developed our Statement with your needs in mind. This statement will apply to you based on how you interact with us.

For example:

  • purchase a ticket to attend one of our events, we will use the information you provide us to fulfill our obligations to you in providing that service and, if you have let us know, we will keep you informed about other events that may be of interest to you; and
  • When you browse our sites, we use cookies to personalize your experience and, we hope, to provide you with an efficient browsing experience.

Your choices and rights for each scenario are explained in more detail below.

What information do we hold and from what sources do we collect it?

  • When you create an account or purchase a product from us (e.g., a ticket or merchandise), we collect your contact details and billing information.
  • When you purchase tickets to attend one of our events, or an event for which we are a co-promoter, you will receive your information from the ticketing agents used to sell entry tickets for events we promote or co-promote, or from the host venues we use to organize the event. This information includes your name, contact details, and ticket purchase information, such as the number of tickets purchased and the seat number(s).
  • When you attend one of our events, we may collect your information through: i) video surveillance cameras (we display signage where such cameras are used); ii) our free Wi-Fi (if you register to use it) and, where applicable, through contactless payment wristbands (cashless) which can be used to access events and make on-site purchases during the event.
  • When you use our websites or apps, we collect information such as the browser and device you are using, your IP address, your location, the site you visited before ours, the features used or not used on our site/app, or the site you visit when leaving ours. To learn more about how we collect this information, please consult our Cookie Policy.
  • When you use a social media feature on our website or apps, and you post on these social media networks, the relevant social network will share information about you with us.
  • If you require accessibility accommodations, we want to offer you the best possible experience when attending events. For this purpose, we need to collect certain data related to your request (which may include providing information about your mental or physical health).
  • In the few cases where we collect personal information from children, we always seek parental consent, and we only collect such information for the purposes specified at the time of collection.
  • We use suppliers who gather geodemographic data to help us better personalize the services we offer you. If you wish to object to this, please read the section: "Your rights and choices" below.

How we use your information and why
This section explains how we use your information and the legal basis for doing so.

1. For the performance of a contract with you
We use your information when you enter into a contract with us (e.g., to purchase products or a ticket) in order to:

  • process your order;
  • obtain payment; and
  • provide you with customer support.

2. To pursue our legitimate business interests

  • ‍to conduct market research and analysis to help us improve and personalize our products and services.
  • For direct marketing purposes, unless your consent is required for such marketing activities (see section 3 below).
  • To send you customer service messages, including booking confirmations and event reminders.
  • To prevent or detect any unlawful behavior, and to protect or enforce our rights as defined by law. For example, to ensure that tickets reach genuine fans. For this purpose, we may use your information to prevent ticket resales, infringement or misuse of our intellectual property rights (e.g., our trademarks or the Event Partner's trademarks), fraud, or other crimes or offenses.
  • To ensure the security of our operations and the operations of the Event Partner.
  • To create your profile and help us personalize our services for you. For example, if you buy tickets to pop music events and have consented to receive marketing information from us, we will inform you about other similar events that might interest you.

About our personalization settings
When we know you better, we can offer you information more tailored to your interests. To ensure the relevance of our messages and website to you, we create a user profile with the information we hold about you and how you use our services.

How to disable personalization
Simply disable "Allow personalization" in your account settings. We will stop all personalization and only use your data for essential services, e.g., to detect fraud.

What happens if you disable personalization?
We will no longer use your data to determine what might interest you. This means you will not receive personal recommendations, and all newsletters you have subscribed to will be generic (although, if you have requested alerts for specific artists or venues, you will continue to receive them).

However, we will continue to perform profiling activities when necessary to provide you with our services, e.g., for fraud prevention purposes and when you specifically ask us to do so, such as in the case of highlighting an artist.

Are disabling personalization and disabling cookies the same thing?
No, these are separate opt-outs. To control your cookie-related settings, you can use our cookie management tool.

When you have provided us with your consent:

  • To contact you with information and offers about our upcoming events, products, or services, via emails, push or web notifications, SMS, or social media. You can change your marketing preferences at any time; please refer to the "Your Choices and Rights" section below.
  • To provide you with location-based services, e.g., through our festival-related apps that allow you to locate yourself on the map so we can use this information to send you push notifications about what's happening in your immediate vicinity.
  • To perform crowd management analytics: a number of our applications use crowd management software so we can see how many people are present at a specific time, or which hours the bars are busiest. This allows us to better allocate our resources. We activate these systems shortly before the start of the festival or event and deactivate them shortly after to avoid unnecessary use of tracking devices.
  • To offer you targeted advertising and marketing on our websites and applications (see our Cookie Policy for more information).
  • To process data related to your health status to fulfill your accessibility requests, where specifically required and explicit consent is provided.

Who do we share your data with and why?

  • With the Live Nation Entertainment group of companies that provides us with services such as sales prospecting, profiling, tracking reports, and technical support.
  • Our third-party service providers (sometimes called sub-processors) such as our cloud computing providers who provide us with IT infrastructure that forms the basis for building our products and systems.
  • Our co-promoters or Event Partners who organize or provide specific services as part of an event (in accordance with their privacy policy).
  • Third parties providing the goods and services you purchase (e.g., ticket insurance or products) so they can process and fulfill your orders.
  • Government agencies or other authorized authorities when permitted or required by law.
  • Any company succeeding our business, in whole or in part.
