Following two editions that showcased new talent in the rock and metal scene, Road to MIDEM III returns with an undiminished ambition: to guide an emerging artistic project toward professional success. Applications are open until September 30, 2026. Selected bands will meet for the final at Les Étoiles on November 18, 2026, where the winner will receive tailored support and the opportunity to perform at MIDEM 2027, held from January 19 to 21, 2027. More than just a springboard, Road to MIDEM III supports artists in their development, from show creation to distribution, with a clear goal: to transform an emerging project into one recognized by industry professionals and ready to join professional touring networks.

How it works
Phase 1: Call for applications
Until September 30, 2026, bands can submit their applications online for a chance to be selected.
Phase 2: Selection
A jury of music industry professionals and figures will select the finalists.
Phase 3: Live final
The finalists will perform in a showcase in Paris at Les Étoiles on November 18, 2026, in front of the public and the jury.
Phase 4: MIDEM 2027
The winner will receive comprehensive artistic support and perform on the stage of the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, in front of global music industry leaders.

Road to MIDEM III is much more than a springboard: it is a collaborative project that brings together all stakeholders in the music industry.
Supporting the selected artists, the initiative mobilizes live performance professionals, institutional and private partners, and the next generation of music industry talent. Through partnerships with several higher education institutions, students will have the opportunity to participate directly in the project by contributing to production, communication, booking, distribution, and artist development tasks.
